Established way back in 1953, Nakuru Youth Polytechnic formerly known as Nakuru Vocational Training Center proposed to be renamed to Nakuru Youth Technical Training Institute was best known for its Masonry and Metal Processing Courses. Ever since the county government took charge of its operations, it has expanded its course offerings to include other technical courses such as fashion design and food processing. Since then the training centre has witnessed a surge in number of student enrollments, intakes for the various courses are open across they year and prospecting students are encouraged to apply early
