About Course

Social workers help people solve and cope with problems in their everyday lives. Social workers also help people develop their skills and their ability to use their own resources and those of the community to resolve problems. Clinical social workers also diagnose and treat mental, behavioral, and emotional issues.

Objective of this program is to equip Social Development work trainees with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes and experiences that, will enable them to participate effectively in implementation of National social development policies.

This program equips learners with skills and knowledge on how to handle community issues such as advocacy, lobbying, community concerns, human growth etc. It also equips students with social work skills to engage with individuals, families, groups and communities in an effort to enhance social functioning and overall well-being of the people.

Graduates will be able to apply social sciences, such as sociology, psychology, political science, public health, community development, law, and economics, to engage with various stakeholders in order to develop interventions that solve social and personal problems; and create social change.
